The Region of Murcia is hosting the first ESGA Winter Conference from December 1 to 5, an international event bringing together representatives from 23 senior golf associations across Europe.

The conference combines technical sessions with sports activities, taking place mainly at the South Course of La Manga Club and also at El Valle Golf Course, highlighting the importance of both venues in European golf tourism.

Through the Regional Ministry of Tourism, Culture, Youth, and Sports, via the Murcia Tourism Institute (Itrem), collaboration with the Spanish Association of Senior Golfers (Aesgolf) is being strengthened. According to General Director Eva Reverte, the event helps position the Region as a leading destination for international golf events, a strategic sector for off-season tourism, attracting high-spending visitors, and creating employment, in line with the Region’s 2022–2032 Strategic Tourism Plan.
